Trying something new. This time around, I painted the darkness first--painted most of the canvas black, then I added the light.
I worked from a photo I snapped on one of my prayer walks...I had been deeply engrossed in thought, finding as I often do that my eyes were on the ground, when I heard "lift up your head" and saw the light streaming through.
Amazing how lifting your head can adjust your perspective. And I was reminded in painting this that when the shadows are the darkest, it's means the light is most visible as well. Good stuff!
Karen, your artwork is beautiful. What a wonderful gift you are sharing with others. Now, you add your thoughts, words and perspective and it adds so much more to the beauty. thank you! I look forward to seeing more of God’s beauty through your brush.
